An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel de Barros in the 4th minute of play forced Taioba FC's goalkeeper Ramiro da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Heliópolis FC's Gualter do Valle nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ramiro da Costa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 10 minutes into the match, Gualter do Valle had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro da Costa. Taioba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gualter do Valle was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Gualter do Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro da Costa having to interfere. Renato Camargo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ramiro da Costa having to make a save. Ramiro da Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renato Camargo went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Ramiro da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerson Pinho in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro da Costa saved Taioba FC from getting behind. Patrick Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramiro da Costa having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Renato Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heliópolis FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Camargo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 31 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Gualter do Valle sped through Taioba FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ramiro da Costa. 35 minutes into the match, Taioba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ezequiel de Barros came free, but Ramiro da Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ramiro da Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gualter do Valle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ramiro da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Xavier in the 38th minute of play. After 39 minutes of play, Heliópolis FC's Gualter do Valle made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ramiro da Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Renato Camargo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heliópolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Renato Camargo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramiro da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Renato Camargo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ramiro da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gualter do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th match minute, Taioba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Amorim to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Cerezo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvério Trigo to make the kick off. Ramiro da Costa made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Renato Camargo sent off a good shot on target. In the 53rd minute, Taioba FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dorian Xavier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Renato Camargo might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Camargo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ezequiel de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Ramiro da Costa made a huge save. Dorian Xavier's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ramiro da Costa firmly grabbed it by the left post. 62 minutes in the game, Patrick Cerezo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ramiro da Costa having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Dorian Xavier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro da Costa. Taioba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorian Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 67 minutes into the match, Taioba FC's goalkeeper Ramiro da Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorian Xavier. Ramiro da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Renato Camargo in the 69th minute. Ezequiel de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute of the match, Dorian Xavier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ramiro da Costa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 73rd minute, Heliópolis FC's Gualter do Valle ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ramiro da Costa. Ramiro da Costa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-7. Carlos Augusto Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Augusto Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Augusto Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Dorian Xavier had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ramiro da Costa. Taioba FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorian Xavier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. In the 88th minute Gualter do Valle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramiro da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gualter do Valle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramiro da Costa was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Renato Camargo might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ramiro da Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renato Camargo ran back to his position shaking his head. Taioba FC's Ramiro da Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Taioba FC from getting a goal against them. Ramiro da Costa made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Dorian Xavier sent off a good shot on target. The Taioba FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Heliópolis FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
