The supporters of Cantao booed when Crobas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edson Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Carlos Vidal scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Iuri Gerber succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Iuri Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Bueno having to interfere. Cantao's Iuri Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Carlos Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandrinho Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iuri Gerber in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iuri Gerber scored 0-3 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdomiro Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Valdomiro Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Vidal in the 31st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Zé Carlos Vidal put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Valdomiro Bueno. When Zé Carlos Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Cantao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos Vidal couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Iuri Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cantao's supporters rose to their feet, but Iuri Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valdomiro Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Iuri Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Cantao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Leão to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Crobas EC's Valdomiro Bueno got control of the ball when Zé Carlos Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisão Botelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Salles's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iuri Gerber in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdomiro Bueno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the match, Cantao's Zé Carlos Vidal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdomiro Bueno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 1-4 became the score in the 92nd minute when Sandrinho Silveira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Cantao's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
