Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dennehy AFC's Emilio Maureo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aaron Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Menendo in the 4th minute of the match. The supporters of Dennehy AFC booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Guzman didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Osvaldo Godoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Menendo in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Claus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aaron Claus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Menendo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Menendo in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aaron Claus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Candelaria's Alberto Menendo in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dennehy AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Alberto Menendo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 23 minutes into the match, Candelaria's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Maureo came free, but Marcial Jatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Dennehy AFC's Roque Gabon got a free kick in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Menendo in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aaron Claus saved Dennehy AFC from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Dennehy AFC's zone, Alberto Menendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Claus came out of the goal and Alberto Menendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herminio Alonso charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herminio Alonso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Alberto Menendo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Claus was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Aaron Claus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osvaldo Godoy in the 40th minute of the match. Aaron Claus came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy. But to his dismay, Osvaldo Godoy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Menendo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Herminio Alonso got a free kick in the 51st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Dennehy AFC's Serafin Gustau tried to score from far away in the 54th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Aaron Claus made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Osvaldo Godoy sent off a good shot on target. Candelaria's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fabian Paez in the 57th minute. A well done corner resulted in Benjamin Demesio drilling the ball in to score 0-2 behind Dennehy AFC's goalkeeper. Osvaldo Godoy struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Aaron Claus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria. If Alberto Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Claus made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvaldo Godoy in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Candelaria's Edgard Guzman got a free kick in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Menendo in the 68th minute of play forced Dennehy AFC's goalkeeper Aaron Claus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osvaldo Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Claus having to interfere. Aaron Claus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Marcial Jatsu came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Dennehy AFC's Emilio Maureo. But to his dismay, Emilio Maureo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. When Osvaldo Godoy came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Candelaria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Godoy couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Godoy succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 86th playminute. If Ubaldo Gonchan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Candelaria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Candelaria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
