In the 27th minute, Eugenio Nicholas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Candelaria's Marcial Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eugenio Nicholas in the 29th minute of play. Osvaldo Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alfonso Ayala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 43 minutes of play, Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Ayala was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfonso Ayala stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Menendo's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Menendo was the one to do the kick off. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the game, Benjamin Demesio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Candelaria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bufones & Saltimbanquis the free kick. A collision led to Candelaria getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Edgard Guzman hit a great ball. Alfonso Ayala made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Menendo in the 67th minute of play. Alberto Menendo might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfonso Ayala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Menendo ran back to his position shaking his head. Candelaria's Osvaldo Godoy got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Godoy in the 94th minute of play forced Bufones & Saltimbanquis's goalkeeper Alfonso Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Candelaria's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
