Sauli Metsberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Kustaa Elovaara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pertti Viitakoski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joni Keinänen having to make a save. The long shot by Eemeli Kamppunen in the 13th minute really tested Kustaa Elovaara's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Kustaa Elovaara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Teemu Lagerblom struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Kustaa Elovaara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metalupuass. Kustaa Elovaara stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Into Jussila's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. A collision led to Varppeenseutu getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pyry Kaski hit a great ball. Toimi Lindberg struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Kustaa Elovaara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metalupuass. 36 minutes into the match, Varppeenseutu's goal looked a bit too open when Into Jussila came free, but Kustaa Elovaara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Metalupuass's Joni Keinänen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kari Petriläinen in the 41st minute of play. Teemu Lagerblom could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Kustaa Elovaara made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Metalupuass's Sauli Metsberg got a free kick in the 44th minute. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kari Petriläinen to strike the kick off in the second half. Into Jussila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Kustaa Elovaara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 55 minutes into the game, Kari Petriläinen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varppeenseutu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Metalupuass the free kick. After 55 played minutes Varppeenseutu got a freekick which was hit by Kari Petriläinen. Kustaa Elovaara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Into Jussila in the 57th minute of play. Kustaa Elovaara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teemu Lagerblom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hemminki Kolsi kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Into Jussila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kustaa Elovaara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teemu Lagerblom in the 67th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Varppeenseutu defense, Teemu Lagerblom kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kustaa Elovaara. The Varppeenseutu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kustaa Elovaara should have stopped the shot. In the 73rd minute, Into Jussila made a precise shot to the right of Kustaa Elovaara. Varppeenseutu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Varppeenseutu's Kustaa Elovaara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teemu Lagerblom in the 77th minute of play. Kustaa Elovaara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teemu Lagerblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Nikodemus Mäkinen charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nikodemus Mäkinen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Nikodemus Mäkinen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Metalupuass got a corner. Varppeenseutu's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Toimi Lindberg ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jaakoppi Vapaniemi was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sauli Metsberg in the 87th minute of play forced Varppeenseutu's goalkeeper Kustaa Elovaara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute Teemu Lagerblom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kustaa Elovaara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Metalupuass walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
