Kuisma Lampinen hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Visa Laakkonen's shot from long distance in the 16th minute was not bad at all, but Kvarnbo FC's Pekka Hämäläinen knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 17 minutes into the match, Aleksanteri Vapamaa notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Varppeenseutu's Kustaa Elovaara. Kustaa Elovaara was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, Kvarnbo FC's goalkeeper Pekka Hämäläinen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilmari Karjala. After some careless play in the Varppeenseutu defense, Mikko Vapamaa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kustaa Elovaara. The Varppeenseutu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kustaa Elovaara should have stopped the shot. After 28 minutes, Aleksanteri Vapamaa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kvarnbo FC and the Varppeenseutu players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aleksanteri Vapamaa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Kustaa Elovaara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksanteri Vapamaa in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Kuisma Lampinen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aleksanteri Vapamaa in the 41st minute of play forced Varppeenseutu's goalkeeper Kustaa Elovaara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Aleksanteri Vapamaa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kustaa Elovaara was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Terho Koivumäki left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kvarnbo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After the first half Kvarnbo FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aleksanteri Vapamaa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aleksanteri Vapamaa might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kustaa Elovaara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aleksanteri Vapamaa ran back to his position shaking his head. Terho Koivumäki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Kustaa Elovaara made a huge save. Aleksanteri Vapamaa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kvarnbo FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
