Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Loukianos Livas kicked off to start the match. After 3 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Graciano Caneira. Wladimir Wasilewski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Armindo Maltez. Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The corner led Luxembourg's Julien Kupferblum to fire away a dangerous shot which Armindo Maltez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 8 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Graciano Caneira. Luxembourg's Karlheinz Ludecke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukianos Livas in the 10th minute of play. The Luxembourg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. With his leg Karlheinz Ludecke managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Ponte do Carro's Alcino Jesus fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Klaus Pichler. After 58 minutes of play, Ponte do Carro's Gregório Jesus made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karlheinz Ludecke was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Loukianos Livas made a precise shot to the right of Karlheinz Ludecke. Luxembourg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. 72 minutes into the game, Klaus Pichler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Armindo Maltez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ponte do Carro's Palmiro Leite was substituted for Alcino Jesus. Ponte do Carro made a substitution. Manuel Carvalhal replaced Gregório Jesus. Klaus Pichler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armindo Maltez having to interfere. Palmiro Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Yannick Bartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Armindo Maltez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Ponte do Carro from getting a goal against them. A nice corner shot did that Yannick Bartz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armindo Maltez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 90th match minute, Ponte do Carro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Caneira to maneuver through the defense. When Miguel Sanches came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Luxembourg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Sanches couldn't finish the play.
