In the 12th minute, Dumitru Purcărete got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 16 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Purcărete came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Batistuta in the 19th minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Loukianos Livas to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-4 when James Batistuta sped through Ponte do Carro's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Armindo Maltez. Dumitru Purcărete could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Armindo Maltez made a huge save. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by King Scorpio in the 57th minute of play. A4p FC Gad were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Ponte do Carro's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcin Pachucki took the corner. Armindo Maltez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Purcărete went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gică Busuioc in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armindo Maltez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Ponte do Carro fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. A4p FC Gad were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
