Wladimir Wasilewski ran back to his position shaking his head. Wladimir Wasilewski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Carlos Eduardo Ramos made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Buenaventura FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wladimir Wasilewski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 29th match minute, Luxembourg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Ozwald to maneuver through the defense. Rigoberto Lozano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Karlheinz Ludecke. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wladimir Wasilewski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luxembourg's Wladimir Wasilewski got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wladimir Wasilewski in the 67th minute of play forced Buenaventura FC's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buenaventura FC's zone, Wladimir Wasilewski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Eduardo Ramos came out of the goal and Wladimir Wasilewski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Wladimir Wasilewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th minute, Fabian Hoffmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danny Ozwald hit a great freekick 99 minutes into the match. Luxembourg's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
