Güneri Orbey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 11th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Raffo. Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Mitnarotov FC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Ciceron came free, but Fernando Raffo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's zone, Nildo de Souza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Oinatz came out of the goal and Nildo de Souza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Olimpo de Bahia Blanca defense, Walmir Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Inocencio Oinatz. The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Inocencio Oinatz should have stopped the shot. Roberto Rivelino charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Roberto Rivelino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 27 minutes into the match, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Angelo Ciceron sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Raffo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristo Hondo in the 31st minute of play forced Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Fernando Raffo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicolas Satordi in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Raffo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute, Angelo Ciceron made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Raffo. Mitnarotov FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Fernando Raffo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Ciceron in the 40th minute of the match. Mitnarotov FC's Fernando Raffo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Satordi in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Mitnarotov FC got a freekick which was hit by Nildo de Souza. Fernando Raffo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Ciceron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sílvio Dantas was the one to do the kick off. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Inocencio Oinatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo de Souza in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Ciceron in the 55th minute of play forced Mitnarotov FC's goalkeeper Fernando Raffo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Angelo Ciceron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Raffo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Dário Passos in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Arjen Robben. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arjen Robben was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Ciceron got free with Fernando Raffo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fernando Raffo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Angelo Ciceron's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Carmelo Gorka made in the 78th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Angelo Ciceron immediately put the ball in play. Fernando Raffo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Satordi, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 79th minute Nicolas Satordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Raffo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Raffo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Satordi in the 80th minute of play. Fernando Raffo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the game, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Angelo Ciceron nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Raffo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Olimpo de Bahia Blanca left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mitnarotov FC.
