East Newark FC's Alec Houston played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clinton Briggs in the 5th minute of play. After having played for 7 minutes, Stanford Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Newark FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanford Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ronnie Kerns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stanford Arias in the 15th minute. Alec Houston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reggie Garrett in the 27th minute of the match. Ronnie Kerns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rocky Crews in the 28th minute of play. Albert Story kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. If Reggie Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Rocky Crews received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ronnie Kerns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reggie Garrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alec Houston having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Dade City's goal looked a bit too open when Stanford Arias came free, but Ronnie Kerns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oren Lundy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jarrod Foote took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alec Houston. East Newark FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Reggie Garrett scored 0-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alec Houston, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Reggie Garrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reggie Garrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Oren Lundy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
