To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dário Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tostão Baiano having to interfere. Horácio Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulysses Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Teles to strike the kick off in the second half. Cido Quirino was shown his second yellow card after 53 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Salgueirón FC booed when Savas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cido Quirino didn't get a good kick on the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Lucas Castro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tostão Baiano. Savas EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lucas Castro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Dário Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Salgueirón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dário Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tostão Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 60 minutes, Arnaldo das Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Savas EC and the Salgueirón FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Savas EC got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo das Neves. With a little luck, Salgueirón FC's Ulysses Sabóia got control of the ball when Marcelinho Linares tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Paulinho Schmidt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dário Arce in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tostão Baiano saved Savas EC from getting behind. After having played for 78 minutes, Dário Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgueirón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Savas EC's goalkeeper Tostão Baiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lucas Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Tostão Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 90 played minutes Marcel Teles rounded Salgueirón FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. Chiquinho Quadros charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chiquinho Quadros the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Savas EC's goalkeeper Tostão Baiano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Although Salgueirón FC had been in control for most of the match, Savas EC still came away with the win.
