Horácio Diniz hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Ediberto Veiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ulysses Sabóia. Salgueirón FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ulysses Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renan Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Pirangy Fc's Nuno Valle got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 13th minute Chico Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucas Castro in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Moreno saved Pirangy Fc from getting behind. A collision led to Pirangy Fc getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Fabrício Braga hit a great ball. Ulysses Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Batista in the 19th minute of the match. In the 20th match minute, Salgueirón FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, David Queiroz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 30th minute, Chico Aparecido ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ulysses Sabóia was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Lucas Castro came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Salgueirón FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Castro couldn't finish the play. Salgueirón FC's Ulysses Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Renan Batista in the 38th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Salgueirón FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Pirangy Fc:s goal. Ulysses Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Pirangy Fc were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas Castro to strike the kick off in the second half. If Emerson Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Moreno having to interfere. Ulysses Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chico Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Castro in the 60th minute of play forced Pirangy Fc's goalkeeper Romeu Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabrício Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emerson Tróia in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ulysses Sabóia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chico Aparecido in the 64th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emerson Tróia in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Moreno saved Pirangy Fc from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Tróia in the 70th minute of play forced Pirangy Fc's goalkeeper Romeu Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Lucas Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Lucas Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Salgueirón FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a rather tough play, Pirangy Fc's Fabrício Braga got a free kick in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute, Emerson Tróia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romeu Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. In the 91st minute, David Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 92 played minutes, Pirangy Fc's Ediberto Veiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ulysses Sabóia came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pirangy Fc reached it. After having played for 93 minutes, Dedê Vianna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgueirón FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dedê Vianna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romeu Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emerson Tróia in the 96th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Salgueirón FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pirangy Fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
