Romeu Moreno didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Savas EC. Savas EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcel Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Romeu Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcel Teles to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcelinho Linares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Moreno having to interfere. Renan Batista took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tostão Baiano. Tostão Baiano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Pirangy Fc's Renan Batista got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Renan Batista might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tostão Baiano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Renan Batista ran back to his position shaking his head. If Renan Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Renan Batista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tostão Baiano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcel Teles in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Romeu Moreno saved Pirangy Fc from getting behind. Chico Aparecido took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tostão Baiano. Pirangy Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcelinho Linares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Marcelinho Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Romeu Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Pirangy Fc players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
