To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dagoberto Pinho in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Lain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durval Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuri de Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Durval Eger skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. David Lain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandão Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 26 minutes into the game, Ernesto Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tabajara.Hrs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EC Bahia the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Tabajara.Hrs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Abel Amaral kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 28thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Tabajara.Hrs's keeper Durval Eger was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Durval Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri de Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Tabajara.Hrs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abel Amaral fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Yuri de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Durval Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Durval Eger made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Abel Amaral sent off a good shot on target. After 38 played minutes Tabajara.Hrs got a freekick which was hit by Evandro Ribeiro. If Abel Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernandão Viana hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Amaral made a kick off. The supporters of EC Bahia booed when Tabajara.Hrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evandro Ribeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri de Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Eger having to interfere. Durval Eger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Amaral in the 68th minute of play. Tabajara.Hrs's Durval Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Cabral in the 78th minute of play. Valério Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Durval Eger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tabajara.Hrs's Fernandão Viana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Lain. That made the score 2-1 after 84 minutes of play. Abel Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Eger having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Abel Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yuri de Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Durval Eger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. EC Bahia's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
