The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Victor Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Tasso came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by EC Bahia's Abel Amaral. But to his dismay, Abel Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 66 minutes into the match, EC Bahia's goalkeeper David Lain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Moreno. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Abel Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. EC Bahia's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Tasso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuri de Salles struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Daniel Tasso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EC Bahia. 72 minutes into the game, Abel Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Daniel Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Yuri de Salles came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the EC Bahia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yuri de Salles couldn't finish the play. Daniel Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Amaral in the 84th minute of the match. 86 minutes in the game Duarte Vergílio did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Victor Moreno. David Lain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão de Sena in the 88th minute of play. Simão de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Lain having to interfere. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Urussui's goalkeeper Daniel Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Urussui's Simão de Sena slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of David Lain. That made the score 3-1 after 94 minutes of play.
