In the 26th minute Ted Garcha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. EC Bahia's Abel Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, CUIABÁ-MT's Zachary Pawelczyk got control of the ball when Abel Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, EC Bahia's Telmo Guimarães got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Zachary Pawelczyk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yuri de Salles went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. David Lain was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 龚翔志 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 75 minute of play. The EC Bahia fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when EC Bahia's Abel Amaral looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
