Wágner Campidelis hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Gequi's Válter Leal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Raúl Godoi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Válter Leal made a precise shot to the right of Raúl Godoi. Bongo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Célio Velloso in the 36th minute of play forced Bongo FC's goalkeeper Raúl Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Fabiano Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes Gequi got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Cavalcante. Luiz Fabiano Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Gequi's Josué Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Queirós in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Célio Velloso got free with Raúl Godoi in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 61st minute, Célio Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luiz Fabiano Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Egídio Paiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Marquez having to interfere. Michel Dante scored 0-3 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Raúl Godoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute, Luiz Fabiano Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arí Favoretto's late challenge caught a Gequi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Arí Favoretto helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gequi booed when Bongo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arí Favoretto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th match minute, Bongo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Reis to maneuver through the defense. Rony Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Gequi's Célio Velloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gequi had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
