An unexpectedly hard shot by Frédson Viana in the 9th minute of play forced Gequi's goalkeeper Josué Marquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vágner Paraíba's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josué Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Válter Leal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 24 minute of play. Ibicuitinga SC's Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válter Leal in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Ibicuitinga SC's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Leal came free, but Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Válter Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt having to interfere. Josué Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Viana in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 43rd minute, Célio Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gequi's Juvenal Cavalcante got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Frédson Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Marquez having to interfere. When Vágner Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Ibicuitinga SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vágner Paraíba couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Vágner Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ibicuitinga SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Vágner Paraíba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Velloso in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Michel Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt having to interfere. Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Velloso in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Célio Velloso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Válter Leal in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Gabriel Bittencourt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Válter Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Célio Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ibicuitinga SC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Gequi had controlled the match.
