Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Válter Leal took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Diguinho Terra was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jacunda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gequi the free kick. After 3 played minutes Jacunda got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Terra. If Ramiro de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 11 minutes, Ramiro de Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jacunda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramiro de Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Válter Leal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matheus da Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. If Célio Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacunda's Matheus da Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Jacunda from getting a goal against them. If Ramiro de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gequi's Válter Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Válter Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Matheus da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Célio Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus da Silva having to interfere. João Francisco Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Dagoberto Ribeiro helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Gequi:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jacunda:s goal. If Válter Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Marquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Catarinense in the 84th minute of the match. A collision led to Jacunda getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Norberto Favoretto hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Célio Velloso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gequi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. João Francisco Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Josué Marquez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacunda's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
