The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Délio de Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Clube de Regatas Perebas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio de Amaral to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Teixeira in the 9th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Clube de Regatas Perebas's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Silveira came free, but Genílson Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Baroneza's Fausto Mangueira got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play, Baroneza's Laerte Paranaense made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Genílson Torres was left in no man's land by his defense there! Clube de Regatas Perebas's Genílson Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Clube de Regatas Perebas from getting a goal against them. Waldemar Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baroneza made a substitution. Zé Augusto Travassos replaced Luciano Valladares. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Silvério Silveira in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Genílson Torres stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Laerte Paranaense's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Clube de Regatas Perebas's Genílson Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Clube de Regatas Perebas from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Augusto Travassos in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Genílson Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laerte Paranaense in the 45th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Luz during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 46 minutes into the game, one of Baroneza:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Baroneza:s Ronaldo Vergílio showed great skill when he stopped Dino Rosado:s penalty. Ronaldo Vergílio came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube de Regatas Perebas's Dino Rosado. But to his dismay, Dino Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Teixeira to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Laerte Paranaense notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Clube de Regatas Perebas's Genílson Torres. Genílson Torres was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 60 played minutes Baroneza got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Mangueira. If Afonso Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Andrézinho Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Genílson Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, Baroneza's Silvério Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Genílson Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 70th minute, Silvério Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Baroneza fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 77th minute, Tião Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Baroneza's Ronaldo Vergílio got control of the ball when Afonso Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Andrézinho Cearense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Torres. Clube de Regatas Perebas's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andrézinho Cearense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Silvério Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Genílson Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Baroneza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
