Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rodrigo Reis started the match with the kick off. If Elivélton Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Pedro Paulo Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruninho Cardozo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Edvaldo Salles made a huge save. Róbson Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience held their breath when Francisco Faria in the 16th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Ediberto Costa's left hand side. Elivélton Negri hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ediberto Costa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rodrigo Reis went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. MelissaMel's Rodrigo Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Rodrigo Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hudson Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Salles having to interfere. In the 49th minute, Rodrigo Reis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ediberto Costa was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After the first half MelissaMel were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Elivélton Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruninho Cardozo in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edvaldo Salles saved MelissaMel from getting behind. Edvaldo Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bruninho Cardozo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 67th minute of the match, Dino do Valle got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ediberto Costa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Dino do Valle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Ediberto Costa made a huge save. If Bruninho Cardozo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, MelissaMel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Paulo Santos to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes MelissaMel got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Reis. A collision led to E.C XV de Piracicaba getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Elivélton Negri hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, E.C XV de Piracicaba's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Reis came free, but Ediberto Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. E.C XV de Piracicaba's Hudson Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. MelissaMel walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
