Rodrigo Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo José Vaz having to make a save. Dino do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th match minute, Pixe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. If Elias Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to MelissaMel getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Pedro Paulo Santos hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, MelissaMel's Paulo José Vaz threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodrigo Reis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A collision led to MelissaMel getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Francisco Faria hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Pixe's Antônio Carlos Bueno tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elias Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Edvaldo Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodrigo Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulo José Vaz having to make a save. In the 36th match minute, Pixe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Leandro Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when MelissaMel's Rodrigo Reis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Pixe's Paulo José Vaz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Pixe from getting a goal against them. Zeca Ribeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zeca Ribeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th match minute, Pixe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Ribeiro to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rodrigo Reis to make the kick off. The supporters of MelissaMel booed when Pixe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gualter Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Paulo José Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo José Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dino do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute MelissaMel were awarded a corner. Yan Rodrigues went to the cornerflag to take it. MelissaMel's Yan Rodrigues was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paulo José Vaz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo José Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The MelissaMel fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pixe had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
