Rodrigo Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Felippe Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mucana FC's zone, Dino do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Felippe Loureiro came out of the goal and Dino do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Rodrigo Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mathias Ceresso struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Edvaldo Salles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mucana FC. Felippe Loureiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Reis in the 27th minute of play. Dino do Valle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Felippe Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mucana FC's Felippe Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Reis in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of MelissaMel booed when Mucana FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgard Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rodrigo Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rodrigo Reis came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the MelissaMel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodrigo Reis couldn't finish the play. Dino do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Mucana FC's Mathias Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mucana FC's Felippe Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Reis in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute of the match Eurico Sarmento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Felippe Loureiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francisco Faria during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes MelissaMel got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Faria. Edvaldo Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo de Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute, one of MelissaMel:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MelissaMel. The goalkeeper, Edvaldo Salles, was totally fooled by Mucana FC's Rafinha Penha, who 71 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Dino do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mucana FC's Felippe Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino do Valle in the 80th minute of play. Reynaldo de Toledo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Francisco Faria got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Francisco Faria kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Mucana FC defense, Dino do Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Felippe Loureiro. The Mucana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Felippe Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Rodrigo Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Rodrigo Reis managed to get in a good position for a shot. MelissaMel's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Reis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felippe Loureiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Mucana FC's Ademir Madureira got a free kick in the 98th minute. Rodrigo Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
