In the 14thth minute of the game Edson Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crespo Esporte Clube's Edu Carvalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edu Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Silveira in the 15th minute of the match. Edu Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson Almeida in the 16th minute of play. After 23 played minutes Crespo Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Carioca. Edu Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aírton Silveira in the 25th minute of the match. A collision led to Astroworld getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Váldson Lago hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Abel de Queiroz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olívio Barros got free with Marcinho Moraes in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the game, Aírton Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astroworld's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crespo Esporte Clube the free kick. After a rather tough play, Astroworld's Aírton Silveira got a free kick in the 31st minute. Marcel Carioca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Marcinho Moraes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Astroworld's Aírton Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 played minutes Astroworld got a freekick which was hit by Edson Almeida. Aírton Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edson Almeida stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edson Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edu Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Aírton Silveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 56th minute, which Edu Carvalho however easily saved by the left post. In the 61st minute, Olívio Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aírton Silveira scored 0-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edu Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The attack was good, but when Edson Almeida in the 70th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Edu Carvalho made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Aírton Silveira sent off a good shot on target. Aírton Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Edu Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes, Crespo Esporte Clube's Rubinho Jacinto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcinho Moraes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Crespo Esporte Clube reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edson Almeida in the 78th minute of play forced Crespo Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Edu Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edson Almeida's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Aírton Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edu Carvalho having to interfere. In the 89th match minute, Astroworld was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Aírton Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Astroworld could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Crespo Esporte Clube throughout the match.
