Augusto Trevisan started the match with the kick off. Rubens Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Túlio Secco in the 4th minute of play. Raúl Leme's late challenge caught a Rap é o Som's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raúl Leme helped the player get up and apologised. In the 8th match minute, Mombach SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raúl Leme to maneuver through the defense. If Augusto Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rap é o Som's Rubens Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr de Carvalho in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Eusébio Carioca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Travassos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubens Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. A collision led to Mombach SS getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Flavinho Trancoso hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Rap é o Som's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Secco came free, but Rubens Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th match minute, Rap é o Som was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Lopez to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Rap é o Som getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Adhemar Lopez hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Mombach SS's Eusébio Carioca got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Túlio Secco in the 39th minute of play forced Rap é o Som's goalkeeper Rubens Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 played minutes Rap é o Som got a freekick which was hit by André Luiz Furlan. Rubens Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Secco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 49 minutes into the match, Walmyr de Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rubens Travassos. Rap é o Som's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr de Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ronaldinho Custódio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 61stth minute of the game Túlio Secco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rap é o Som's Rubens Travassos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Vito Berger kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rubens Travassos. That made the score 1-2 in the 66 minute of play. Rap é o Som's Rubens Travassos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Rap é o Som from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Berger in the 75th minute of play forced Rap é o Som's goalkeeper Rubens Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, Vito Berger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rubens Travassos. The goal made the score 1-3. Rubens Travassos came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Mombach SS's Walmyr de Carvalho. But to his dismay, Walmyr de Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. When André Luiz Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rap é o Som's protests and gave André Luiz Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. André Luiz Furlan kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Mombach SS's Vito Berger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rubens Travassos. Rubens Travassos yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Rubens Travassos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Rubens Travassos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renato da Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Walmyr de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Rubens Travassos made a huge save.
