Túlio Secco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When Hortêncio Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Manicobal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hortêncio Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Walmyr de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Valdomiro de Castro made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, Manicobal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Valdomiro de Castro was a little too slow when Túlio Secco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 2-0. 40 minutes into the match, Manicobal's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Secco came free, but Valdomiro de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Manicobal's Murilo Souto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leandro Moura in the 89 minute of the game. Mombach SS's Flavinho Trancoso got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Flavinho Trancoso off the ground. In the 93rd match minute, Mombach SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavinho Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. Benedito Koehler's late challenge caught a Mombach SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
