Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arjen Das started the match with the kick off. If Arjen Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Auke van As notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Viko's Bill Korfs. Bill Korfs was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arjen Das recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19thth minute of the game Auke van Wonderen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Heythuysen's Lex van der Werff was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Viko getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Alex Oosterhof hit a great ball. Bill Korfs made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Melvin Maasland sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steven Waard during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Heythuysen's Lex van der Werff played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arjen Das in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heythuysen's goalkeeper Lex van der Werff, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 minutes, Elco Hertog mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Heythuysen and the Viko players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Heythuysen's Elco Hertog got a free kick in the 29th minute. Arjen Das struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Lex van der Werff didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viko. A collision led to Heythuysen getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Melvin Maasland hit a great ball. Lex van der Werff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Auke van Wonderen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin van Aalderen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdi Scheer walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If Robin van Aalderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Auke van As fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bill Korfs having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 51 played minutes Viko got a freekick which was hit by Ferdi Scheer. Bill Korfs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin van Aalderen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Viko's Bill Korfs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin van Aalderen in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Viko's Simon Sándor got a free kick in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Robin van Aalderen in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bill Korfs saved Viko from getting behind. Lex van der Werff took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arjen Das, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Auke van Wonderen in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lex van der Werff prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Auke van Wonderen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the match, Heythuysen's goal looked a bit too open when Arjen Das came free, but Lex van der Werff reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steven Waard hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Auke van Wonderen came free with the goalkeeper in the 78th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lex van der Werff could save by the left post. The supporters of Heythuysen booed when Viko was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdi Scheer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bill Korfs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Auke van As, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin van Aalderen in the 92nd minute of play forced Viko's goalkeeper Bill Korfs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arjen Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lex van der Werff having to interfere. Viko's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
