In the 12th minute Arjen Das shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Lamey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Melvin Walstra during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Hell getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Melvin Walstra hit a great ball. With a little luck, Hell's Casper Lamey got control of the ball when Auke van Wonderen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timo Looze recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Marcel van Zwieten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Lamey. Hell's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcel van Zwieten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After having played for 48 minutes, Klaas Haar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Klaas Haar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 48 minutes into the match, Hell's Klaas Haar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Korfs narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timo Looze to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hell's goalkeeper Casper Lamey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Viko players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
