Natural Born Grillers's Claus Krampitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flemming Fochler in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Natural Born Grillers defense, Kim Bugera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claus Krampitz. The Natural Born Grillers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claus Krampitz should have stopped the shot. In the 14th minute, Rochus Eberhard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tillmann Marks made a kick off. Natural Born Grillers's Claus Krampitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Natural Born Grillers from getting a goal against them. Claus Krampitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flemming Fochler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüttenheim FSV's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
