After a rather tough play, CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's Rodriguinho Alcântara got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 9th minute Rodriguinho Alcântara suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Beto Sena's late challenge caught a CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beto Sena helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Rezende FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beto Sena to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Saldanha in the 13th minute of play forced Rezende FC's goalkeeper Adalberto Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes Rezende FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Lucas da Rocha who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Lucas da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rezende FC's Adalberto Paranaense did a great save. 16 minutes into the game, Alfredinho Custódio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Adalberto Paranaense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ernani Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Adalberto Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredinho Custódio's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 26th match minute, Rezende FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Mello to maneuver through the defense. Adalberto Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th match minute, Rezende FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Paulo Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Alfredinho Custódio struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Adalberto Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA. Dorian Braga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernani Mesquita having to interfere. After the first half CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 57th minute Alfredinho Custódio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Lino Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorian Braga, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Chants of CLUBE PANTERA NEGRA echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Rezende FC had held the ball for most of the match.
