After a rather tough play, Castores FC's Viriato Sesimbra got a free kick in the 25th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Castores FC's Ain Vanatoa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Moisés Guerra. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hilário Campelo in the 31st minute of play forced Castores FC's goalkeeper Ferenc Mészáros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moisés Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ain Vanatoa in the 35th minute. Castores FC's Ferenc Mészáros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Anjos in the 40th minute of play. Moisés Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdemar Anjos got free with Ferenc Mészáros in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Moisés Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Germano Macena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 69 played minutes Ponte do Carro got a freekick which was hit by Amado Vilalobos. Moisés Guerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ain Vanatoa, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
