Rui Calçada who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Armindo Maltez when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Rodolfo Montay came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Campus Douro Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Montay couldn't finish the play. Eliseu Bragança showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Boaventura in the 66th minute of the match. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Idalécio Rebelo in the 68th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Montay in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armindo Maltez saved Ponte do Carro from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Rodolfo Montay put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Armindo Maltez. Armindo Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milosz Kissel in the 96th minute of play. Campus Douro Academy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by André Pestana in the 97th minute. Campus Douro Academy's André Pestana was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Armindo Maltez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Campus Douro Academy were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
