Armindo Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Genílson Peixoto, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Mitxel came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Genílson Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Armindo Maltez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elano Severo in the 10th minute of play. Armindo Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Mitxel in the 13th minute of play. Angel Neto made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Alcino Jesus sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute of the match Ponte do Carro got a corner. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gregório Jesus ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Gregório Jesus almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amancio Mitxel in the 20th minute of play forced Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armindo Maltez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Ponte do Carro's Angel Neto threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Loukianos Livas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 27thth minute of the game Loukianos Livas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beto Martini MZ 20 years's Angel Neto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Ponte do Carro fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elano Severo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A collision led to Beto Martini MZ 20 years getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Elano Severo hit a great ball. Armindo Maltez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genílson Peixoto in the 36th minute of play. Adélio Brites hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, Alcino Jesus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angel Neto. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alcino Jesus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After having played for 42 minutes, Genílson Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beto Martini MZ 20 years's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genílson Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Loukianos Livas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Angel Neto came out and tried to block the shot, but Loukianos Livas slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 44th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loukianos Livas was the one to do the kick off. Angel Neto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Simão Boaventura's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. The Ponte do Carro fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Ponte do Carro's Simão Boaventura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Beto Martini MZ 20 years's zone, Simão Boaventura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Neto came out of the goal and Simão Boaventura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Peixoto. Armindo Maltez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Peixoto in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loukianos Livas in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Angel Neto saved Beto Martini MZ 20 years from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Jesus in the 62nd minute of play forced Beto Martini MZ 20 years's goalkeeper Angel Neto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Mitxel made a great header on Beto Martini MZ 20 years's corner, it was just that Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience was convinced that Loukianos Livas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angel Neto was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Ponte do Carro's Manuel Carvalhal was substituted for Gregório Jesus. Ponte do Carro made a substitution. Palmiro Leite replaced Alcino Jesus. In the 79th minute Ponte do Carro were awarded a corner. Rogério Palmeira ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Simão Boaventura managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Angel Neto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Livas in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Genílson Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 played minutes, Ponte do Carro's Adélio Brites shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Angel Neto came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ponte do Carro reached it. In the 94th minute Loukianos Livas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Neto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
