Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brice Lewry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 28 minutes into the match, OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Larry Baba came free, but Wellington Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to OTTO FC - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Oscar Vinhas hit a great ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of OTTO FC - FSCMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Australian Youth Academy:s goal. Daniel Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braedan Shorten having to interfere. OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Arce's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Braedan Shorten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Wellington Matos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save OTTO FC - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brice Lewry in the 57th minute of play forced OTTO FC - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Wellington Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oscar Vinhas kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Larry Baba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Matos having to interfere. Oscar Vinhas hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute Daniel Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braedan Shorten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Moura came free, but Braedan Shorten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Daniel Arce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Braedan Shorten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oscar Vinhas's late challenge caught a Australian Youth Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Oscar Vinhas helped the player get up and apologised. Braedan Shorten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Arce, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 75 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Moura came free, but Braedan Shorten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braedan Shorten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulão Moura in the 86th minute of the match. Paulão Moura took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Braedan Shorten. Braedan Shorten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. When Brice Lewry fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Brice Lewry a yellow card for diving instead. 92 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Paulão Moura came free, but Braedan Shorten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute of the match, Elliott Allan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wellington Matos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The Australian Youth Academy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
