Dráuzio Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 4th minute, Emanuel Vigil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 6th minute Breno Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barra Gol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Emanuel Vigil in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Percival Munhoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernandinho Galvão in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute of the match, José Pedro Vides got a very nice opportunity to score, but Barra Gol was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Emanuel Vigil notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz. Percival Munhoz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Percival Munhoz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Vigil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. José Pedro Vides hit a great ball. Fernandinho Galvão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Percival Munhoz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Gabriel Delassus struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Percival Munhoz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ribeirão das Neves EC MG. After 41 played minutes Ribeirão das Neves EC MG got a freekick which was hit by Tarcisio Luz. If Emanuel Vigil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Emanuel Vigil sped through Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Percival Munhoz. After the first half Ribeirão das Neves EC MG were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Vigil was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Emanuel Vigil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Percival Munhoz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Percival Munhoz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernandinho Galvão in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Emanuel Vigil fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Ribeirão das Neves EC MG made a substitution. Peter Paul Crouch replaced Emanuel Vigil. In the 70thth minute of the game Peter Paul Crouch who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grajaú Uai Sôccer MG's Percival Munhoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's Peter Paul Crouch in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Percival Munhoz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 81st minute Fabiano Munhoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percival Munhoz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Fabiano Munhoz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Percival Munhoz throw himself and got hold of the ball when Peter Paul Crouch in the 85thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Percival Munhoz stood somewhat misplaced when Peter Paul Crouch came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 85 minute. In the 88th minute, Fabiano Munhoz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Percival Munhoz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Peter Paul Crouch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Percival Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ribeirão das Neves EC MG's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
