Spectators: 144 (Terracing: 109, Seating: 33, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giuseppe Esteves started the match with the kick off. Rezende FC's Reynaldo das Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Esteves in the 6th minute of play. Rezende FC's Bernardinho Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by SE Palmeiras's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luiz Paulo Velasco was slow to take the kick. During this time Rezende FC's players had a chance to rest. In the 18th minute of the game Oséias Furlan made a throw-in which Edgar Pimenta played forward. Reynaldo das Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michel Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Robinho de Sena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 24 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Dito Donatello. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Linares in the 29th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Robinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the game, Adriano da Rocha threw the ball into play from the sideline. SE Palmeiras's Alfredinho Reis quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bernardinho Cardoso scored 3-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Robinho de Sena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 38 minutes of play, SE Palmeiras's Giuseppe Esteves made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Reynaldo das Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernardinho Cardoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Robinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

If Afonsinho Tasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonsinho Tasso in the 55th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Robinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SE Palmeiras getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Natanael Paraense hit a great ball. Rezende FC made a substitution. Lauro Vander replaced Manoel Montenegro. In the 59th minute, Natanael Paraense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Cardoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Robinho de Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Robinho de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Reynaldo das Neves made a huge save. After 73 minutes, Michel Marques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SE Palmeiras and the Rezende FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes SE Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Michel Marques. Giuseppe Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Josué Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rezende FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josué Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rezende FC's Adriano da Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, Rezende FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo das Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Giuseppe Esteves. Robinho de Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardinho Cardoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Linares in the 95th minute of play forced SE Palmeiras's goalkeeper Robinho de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rezende FC had played much better football throughout.
