Laerte Messias came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos. But to his dismay, Antônio Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3.

In the 57th minute, Eriberto de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Antônio Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laerte Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, Barcellos Mineiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto de Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Antônio Santos notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Barcellos Mineiro FC's Laerte Messias. Laerte Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laerte Messias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Laerte Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Santos in the 84th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Makis Apostolakis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The throw-in from Makis Apostolakis in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Barcellos Mineiro FC's Ali Toral. 94 minutes into the match, Antônio Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Laerte Messias, 0-7. The ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
