Almiro Setúbal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tony Vianna went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Geovânio de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Andrézinho Messias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Clube Patrício's Almiro Setúbal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseu Mourinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrézinho Messias to strike the kick off in the second half. Augusto Recife kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The supporters of Barcellos Mineiro FC booed when Sporting Clube Patrício was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Cortez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Romão Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Clube Patrício's zone, Andrézinho Messias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Almiro Setúbal came out of the goal and Andrézinho Messias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Sporting Clube Patrício booed when Barcellos Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilson da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Cortez's late challenge caught a Barcellos Mineiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Cortez helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube Patrício's Sandro Cortez got a free kick in the 87th minute.
