Hudson Corrêa started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Eao defense, Pedro Luís Albuquerque kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrézinho Mazza. The Eao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrézinho Mazza should have stopped the shot. Hudson Corrêa might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andrézinho Mazza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hudson Corrêa ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Eao's Fred de Almeida got a free kick in the 12th minute. Pedro Luís Albuquerque spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Eao's goal. In the 15th match minute, Eao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Dracena to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the game, José Queiroz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Andrézinho Gaspar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eao's Andrézinho Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hudson Corrêa in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hudson Corrêa in the 32nd minute of play forced Eao's goalkeeper Andrézinho Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Pedro Luís Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35thth minute of the game Hudson Corrêa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eao's Andrézinho Mazza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Eao's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Luís Albuquerque came free, but Andrézinho Mazza reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andrézinho Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hudson Corrêa in the 41st minute of the match. Hudson Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Andrézinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 48th minute, Almir Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho de Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Hudson Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Hot Dog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Horácio Pinheiro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Claudinho de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrézinho Gaspar having to interfere. After some careless play in the Eao defense, Pedro Luís Albuquerque kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andrézinho Mazza. The Eao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andrézinho Mazza should have stopped the shot. A hard shot 66 in the game by Pedro Luís Albuquerque from a close distance when the talented Andrézinho Mazza managed to make a qualified save. Eao's players were relieved. After a rather tough play, Hot Dog's Gonçalo Gonçalves got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes, Marcelinho Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eao and the Hot Dog players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Eao got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Donato. In the 78th minute of the match Marcos de Sena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrézinho Gaspar skillfully saved the ball. Andrézinho Mazza made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Pedro Luís Albuquerque sent off a good shot on target. Dagoberto Dracena hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Pedro Luís Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dagoberto Dracena's late challenge caught a Hot Dog's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Dracena helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Luís Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Andrézinho Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Hudson Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Hot Dog fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hudson Corrêa couldn't finish the play. If Hudson Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hot Dog's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
