After 3 played minutes Arrepol got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Teles. Maurício Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Maurício Tasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elói Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maurício Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Azevedo in the 10th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Elói Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurício Tasso was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Elói Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maurício Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. But to his dismay, Elói Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elói Azevedo in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurício Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the game's 28th minute Iron Paradise FC's Luizão Almeida took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Maurício Tasso and thus the score was 0-2. Maurício Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Azevedo in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Arrepol's Tiago Marquez seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tiago Marquez the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arrepol protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tiago Marquez had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Azevedo in the 37th minute of play forced Arrepol's goalkeeper Maurício Tasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Michel Tróia made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Nicolas Matorin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrepol and the Iron Paradise FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maurício Tasso was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Elói Azevedo. Cláudio Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurício Tasso came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Iron Paradise FC's Cláudio Rocha. But to his dismay, Cláudio Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 63 minutes into the game, Cláudio Rocha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Maurício Tasso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Caetano Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cláudio Rocha in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maurício Tasso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amadeu Machado in the 70th minute of play forced Iron Paradise FC's goalkeeper Sidney Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tadeu Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Iron Paradise FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tadeu Albuquerque couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Iron Paradise FC's Caetano Alagoano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Maurício Tasso. That made the score 1-6 after 79 minutes of play. Caetano Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurício Tasso having to interfere. Caetano Alagoano might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maurício Tasso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Caetano Alagoano ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caetano Alagoano in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Tasso saved Arrepol from getting behind. Maurício Tasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Alagoano in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Iron Paradise FC's Cláudio Rocha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurício Tasso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arrepol's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Caetano Alagoano scored to the left of an out of position Maurício Tasso, making the score, 1-7. Iron Paradise FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
