The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Sílvio Luiz Brodel made a precise shot to the right of Sidney Prata. Iron Paradise FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Telmo Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zhou Cheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Elói Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Iron Paradise FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 13 minutes of play, Gueto's Joel Arósio made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sidney Prata was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iron Paradise FC's Sidney Prata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeferson Maranhense in the 23rd minute of play. Zhou Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elói Azevedo in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Iron Paradise FC got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Alagoano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Félix in the 35th minute of play forced Iron Paradise FC's goalkeeper Sidney Prata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute Gilson Dionísio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sidney Prata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Prata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Félix in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes of play, Gueto's Jeferson Maranhense made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Arósio to strike the kick off in the second half. Elói Azevedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zhou Cheng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elói Azevedo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Cláudio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Gueto's Sílvio Luiz Brodel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sidney Prata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. After a rather tough play, Gueto's Claudinei de Amaral got a free kick in the 65th minute. Telmo Prado scored 2-5 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zhou Cheng, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Joel Arósio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sidney Prata. Iron Paradise FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Arósio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. In the 97th minute, Olavo Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the match, Gueto's Armandinho de Barros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.
