When Cafu Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guzolândia FC's protests and gave Cafu Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Guzolândia FC got a freekick which was hit by Cafu Ramos. Ademir Perez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiago Donato did an outstanding performance 22 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Daniel Cerezo in the goal. Marcelo Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Tepedino in the 26th minute of the match. If Cauã Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Guzolândia FC's Wiliam Bastos got a free kick in the 39th minute. The audience held their breath when Flávio Moreno in the 41st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Marcelo Corrêa's left hand side. Osmar Melo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cauã Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osmar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Corrêa having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ademir Perez made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Marcelo Corrêa managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when Tupiniquins's Osmar Melo fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Marcelo Corrêa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cauã Tepedino in the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Cauã Tepedino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcelo Corrêa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauã Tepedino in the 74th minute of play. Tupiniquins's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Flávio Moreno in the 76th minute. João Ceresso made a great header on Tupiniquins's corner, it was just that Guzolândia FC's Marcelo Corrêa managed to reach the ball for a save. Cauã Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marcelo Corrêa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Guzolândia FC's Marcelo Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Ceresso in the 83rd minute of play. Ademir Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ademir Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Osmar Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Corrêa having to interfere. When Gildo Mendes fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guzolândia FC's protests and gave Gildo Mendes a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Tupiniquins booed when Guzolândia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gildo Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Corrêa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Flávio Moreno. Tupiniquins were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Guzolândia FC to leave the ground with a draw.
