Spectators: 6895 (Terracing: 5395, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) Fenix FC's Serginho Cruz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiaguinho Matos in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Fenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Cosme came free, but Serginho Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thiago Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Doni Severo fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Valinhos FC's protests and gave Doni Severo a yellow card for diving instead. Doni Severo hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Dário Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dário Rezende in the 19th minute of play forced Valinhos FC's goalkeeper Thiago Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute, Arthur Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilson Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The long shot by Doni Severo in the 29th minute really tested Serginho Cruz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Joaquim Cosme's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Serginho Cruz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 44 in the game by Joaquim Cosme from a close distance when the talented Serginho Cruz managed to make a qualified save. Fenix FC's players were relieved. 48 minutes into the match, Fenix FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Cosme came free, but Serginho Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 52 played minutes Fenix FC got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Godoi. The Valinhos FC fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Valinhos FC's Joaquim Cosme looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Joaquim Cosme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 62 played minutes Valinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Davi Cunha. In the 65th minute Tiaguinho Matos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Cruz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Tiaguinho Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiaguinho Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Francisco Nóbrega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Cosme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Joaquim Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Valinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Cosme couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Cosme in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serginho Cruz saved Fenix FC from getting behind. Davi Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Serginho Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. After 86 minutes of play, Valinhos FC's Joaquim Cosme made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Cruz was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Joaquim Cosme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valinhos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Cosme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Tiaguinho Matos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Valinhos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Valinhos FC fully deserved thier win.
