In the 16th match minute, LonDriNa ParAnÁ CluBe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Ferraz to maneuver through the defense. When Eusébio Baiano came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Catole fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusébio Baiano couldn't finish the play. Paulo Quintal hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cássio de Lima showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. LonDriNa ParAnÁ CluBe's Eliseu Baiano managed to work through Catole's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal.
