Arquímedes Arquett made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. FC Pankakes's Arquímedes Arquett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Batista in the 37th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Hamílton Secco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo Leal was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luizão Batista to make the kick off. In the 65th match minute, FC Pankakes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geovânio Amorim to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, FC Pankakes's Paulinho Freitas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Paulinho Freitas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Pankakes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Paulinho Freitas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Pankakes! In the 74th minute, Hamílton Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Telmo Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovânio Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hamílton Secco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Leal having to interfere. Hamílton Secco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Leal having to make a save. Telmo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovânio Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Hamílton Secco struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Telmo Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pankakes. Hamílton Secco was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Luizão Batista could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Arquímedes Arquett however easily saved by the left post. When the final whistle went the supporters of Tradição Futebol Clube were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant FC Pankakes side.
