Spectators: 7321 (Terracing: 5492, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 145) Companhia's Severino Leme started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Hernani Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernani Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th match minute, Companhia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Neves to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Carioca during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 18 played minutes Supino FC got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Carioca. Oswaldo Britto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Carneiro in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute Hernani Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Ceresso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Josué Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Linhares's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Jorge Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Supino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oswaldo Britto was a little too slow when Luís Fernando Dantas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 39th minute, Jânio Guedes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Jacinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Linhares in the 43rd minute of play. Companhia's Josué Jacinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Ceresso in the 44th minute of play. Dedê Arce kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Hernani Linhares made the kick off in the second half. Companhia's Josué Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Companhia from getting a goal against them. In the 53rd match minute, Companhia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Neves to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Ceresso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Josué Jacinto made a huge save. Josué Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Jorge Ceresso sent off a good shot on target. Josué Jacinto was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Hernani Linhares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hernani Linhares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Róbson Neves hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute Hernani Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Jacinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hernani Linhares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Josué Jacinto came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernani Linhares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 96th minute.
