Spectators: 7259 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Luiz Fábio Mota kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago do Valle in the 6th minute of play forced Companhia's goalkeeper Josué Jacinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Leme was extremely unlucky when he, in the 7th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Thiago do Valle scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Josué Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Thiago do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Walmyr Valadares hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23 minutes, Róbson Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Companhia and the Piche players grew even worse after the yellow card. Piche's Pedro Luís Peixoto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 24th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Companhia. 33 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio Mota had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Josué Jacinto. Companhia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Fábio Mota was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Josué Jacinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fábio Mota, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Leme in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Companhia's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fábio Mota came free, but Josué Jacinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Thiago do Valle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piche's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago do Valle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Jacinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Severino Leme made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Companhia got a corner. Piche's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walmyr Valadares ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Companhia's goalkeeper Josué Jacinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josué Jacinto made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Thiago do Valle sent off a good shot on target. Thiago do Valle in the 62ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Josué Jacinto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Josué Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fábio Mota's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. In the 66th minute, Thiago do Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Piche fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Josué Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thiago do Valle in the 72nd minute. When Luís Fernando Dantas fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Companhia's protests and gave Luís Fernando Dantas a yellow card for diving instead. After 88 played minutes Piche got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fábio Mota. Companhia's Josué Jacinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Companhia from getting a goal against them. Piche's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
