Luiz Paulo Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Joel de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Acara getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Falcão was the one to do the kick off. Acara's Durval Sanches got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alan Matorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio de Toledo having to interfere. After 63 played minutes Sarutai EC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Fernando Vianna. Umberto Falcão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. José Paulo Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Acara's zone, Alan Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio de Toledo came out of the goal and Alan Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Matorin in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Luiz Paulo Alagoano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Acara's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Matorin came free, but Júlio de Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acara's Umberto Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandrinho de Andrade in the 84th minute of play forced Sarutai EC's goalkeeper José Paulo Cardoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Alan Matorin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Umberto Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Acara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarutai EC the free kick. In the 93rd minute, Umberto Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umberto Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
