Fausto Arruda started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Fausto Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rômulo de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match Impávido Galcölosso EC got a corner. Fanfarroes MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Anderson do Valle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Rômulo de Queirós was completely defenseless when Anderson do Valle shot a long shot which deflected off the right pole and into the goal in the game's 5th minute, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cesinha Severo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Doctor Sócrates saved Impávido Galcölosso EC from getting behind. 17 minutes into the game, Erasmo Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Impávido Galcölosso EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fanfarroes MZC the free kick. Lucas Donato, 18 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Anderson do Valle kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Arruda during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Impávido Galcölosso EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! João Paulo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo de Queirós having to interfere. João Paulo Damião who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Rômulo de Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Paulo Damião got free with Rômulo de Queirós in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesinha Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dadá Fantini made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Impávido Galcölosso EC's João Paulo Damião sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rômulo de Queirós narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dadá Fantini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Doctor Sócrates tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Fantini in the 56th minute of play forced Impávido Galcölosso EC's goalkeeper Doctor Sócrates to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the game, Impávido Galcölosso EC's João Paulo Damião nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rômulo de Queirós made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Doctor Sócrates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Giuseppe Toledo's late challenge caught a Impávido Galcölosso EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Giuseppe Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 66th match minute, Fanfarroes MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Toledo to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Fanfarroes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when João Paulo Damião came free, but Rômulo de Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesinha Severo might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doctor Sócrates. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesinha Severo ran back to his position shaking his head. Impávido Galcölosso EC's Doctor Sócrates played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Fantini in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Fanfarroes MZC's Cesinha Severo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Doctor Sócrates narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Fausto Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Fausto Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo de Queirós having to interfere. The supporters of Impávido Galcölosso EC booed when Fanfarroes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Giuseppe Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fanfarroes MZC's Rômulo de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Damião in the 93rd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Fanfarroes MZC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Impávido Galcölosso EC.
